Terms of Service

These terms form an agreement between you and AxisLab, a company established in Hong Kong SAR (“CopySlides”, “we”, “us”), covering copyslides.com, our browser extension, and our desktop and mobile applications. By using the service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. The service

CopySlides converts slide screenshots, PDF documents, NotebookLM presentations, and videos into editable PowerPoint (PPTX) files. It offers a Pro pipeline, which uses cloud optical character recognition and AI models to rebuild slide layouts, and a Basic pipeline, which reconstructs slides without an AI model.

Conversion is automated. We do not promise that a converted file will match the original exactly, and you should review every result before relying on it.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You must give accurate registration details, keep your credentials confidential, and tell us promptly at support@copyslides.org if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the files you upload and of the PowerPoint files produced from them. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and transmit those files in order to run the conversion you requested, including sending them to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the rights to every file you submit. Do not upload material you are not permitted to copy or process, and do not upload other people’s personal information without a lawful basis for doing so.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload unlawful material, or material that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • use the service to reproduce copyrighted presentations you have no right to reproduce;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our processing pipeline or models;
  • bypass usage limits, credit accounting, payment requirements, or access controls;
  • disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or place an unreasonable load on it;
  • resell or redistribute the service without our written agreement.

5. How your files are handled

Website conversions are not performed entirely on your device. Uploaded files are stored in our object storage and processed by our conversion service and its providers. Files you upload are scheduled for deletion 24 hours after upload and removed automatically; PowerPoint files we generate remain in your conversion history until you delete them or close your account. The Privacy Policy describes this in full.

Keep your own copy of anything important. We are not a backup service and do not guarantee that a file will remain available.

6. Plans, credits, and payment

Some features are free within set limits. Paid plans and credit packs are sold through Stripe, and prices are shown before you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your account, which stops future charges but does not shorten the period you have already paid for.

Purchases are generally final. If something goes wrong, contact support@copyslides.org and we will review your request. Nothing here limits any refund or cancellation right you have under applicable law.

We may change prices. Changes do not affect a subscription period you have already paid for, and we will give notice before a changed price applies to a renewal.

7. Availability

We work to keep CopySlides available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Conversion times vary with file size and load, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Limits on file size, page count, and conversion frequency may apply and may differ by plan.

8. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties for storage, payments, text recognition, and AI models. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions, and their availability may affect ours.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using CopySlides at any time and can ask us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your use harms the service or other users, or if we are required to do so by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

10. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we make no warranty about the accuracy or completeness of converted files.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, or lost or corrupted data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or USD 100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your use of the service, from the files you submit, or from your breach of these terms or of anyone else’s rights.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The courts of Hong Kong SAR have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or from the service, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. For significant changes we will notify account holders by email or in the application before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that point means you accept the revised terms.
